Dental Bonding

Dental bonding is one of our favorite ways to fix small flaws quickly and comfortably. We use a tooth-colored resin to gently rebuild areas that are chipped, worn, or discolored, so your tooth looks whole and natural again. Most of the time there is little to no numbing needed, and you walk out the same day with a refreshed smile.
If you have a small gap between teeth, an edge that looks uneven, or a spot that catches your eye in photos, bonding can be an easy answer. We carefully match the shade to your surrounding enamel, layer and shape the material by hand, then harden it with a light so it blends in with the rest of your smile. For some people, we pair bonding with subtle tooth contouring. With contouring, we gently smooth and reshape the outer enamel of slightly uneven or pointy teeth. Together, bonding and contouring can balance your smile line, soften sharp corners, and make several teeth look straighter without braces.
Because bonding is conservative, we preserve as much healthy tooth structure as possible. It is a nice option if you are not ready for porcelain veneers, or if you want to improve just one or two teeth instead of changing your entire smile. We will talk through how long you can expect bonding to last, how to care for it at home, and what habits to avoid, such as chewing on ice or biting fingernails.
As always, we start with a simple exam and conversation. We look at your teeth together, discuss what bothers you most, and map out a realistic plan. You get honest guidance about what bonding can and cannot do, so you can decide comfortably if it is the right step for you.
