Tooth Extractions

Tooth extraction is sometimes the safest way to protect your overall oral health when a tooth is too damaged or infected to be saved. We treat this as a last resort, and we take great care to make the experience as calm and comfortable as possible.
Before we remove a tooth, we review your medical history, take digital X‑rays, and discuss every reasonable option to keep it, such as fillings, crowns, or root canal treatment. If removal truly is the best choice, we walk you through the steps in plain language so you know what to expect. On the day of the procedure, we spend plenty of time on gentle numbing. For anxious patients, we move slowly, check in often, and can discuss additional comfort options when appropriate. Using precise instruments and steady technique, we loosen the tooth carefully and remove it with as little trauma to the surrounding bone and gums as we can.
Once the tooth is out, we place gauze, review home‑care instructions, and talk about managing soreness and swelling over the first few days. You will leave with clear written directions and our office number in case anything concerns you once you are home.
We also discuss what comes next: whether that means a dental implant, bridge, or denture, or sometimes simply letting the area heal if replacement is not needed right away. Our goal is to help you move from a painful, infected, or broken tooth to a healthy, stable mouth with a plan you understand.
Throughout the process, you are never treated like "just another extraction." We respect that this can be a big step and make sure you feel heard, informed, and supported from start to finish.
